LeavePlanner.com, how it works...
The system works by categorizing all employees into 3 areas. These areas are as follows:
Employees (Level 3)
Employees are allowed to request new leave and notify sickness through the system for themselves. They can also see their summaries for any year that exists for them showing leave that has been taken and leave that has been approved. Sickness summaries are also available showing any sick leave that the employee has had to take.
The Company Leave Planner is available showing every approved leave and notified sickness for every employee in the company (if enabled by Company Administrator).
Managers (Level 2)
Managers are essentialy the same as employees with a couple of added bonuses. They are allowed to submit a request to notify of sickness for any employee within their team. Summaries are also available to Managers for Employees within their Team.
Administrators (Level 1)
Administrators have complete control over LeavePlanner.com. They are allowed to add/edit/delete all information within the LeavePlanner.com system. They are also tasked with setting up the system initially for every other employee and setting company defaults.
